It looks like Bobby Petrino and his staff will be hosting a pretty important visitor on Wednesday. According to Kipp Adams of 247 Sports, running back Jovon Robinson will be visiting the Cards. He is rated as the top JUCO player in the country by 247sports. He is listed at 6’0 and 220 pounds.
Robinson is from Memphis, Tennessee and actually was a member of Auburn’s football team in 2012 for a short time. Before the season started, he was declared ineligible because of an NCAA investigation over a grade change on his high school transcript.
He was named the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 after he rushed for 2,387 yards and 34 touchdowns for Georgia Military College.
According to this article from March 27, Robinson’s top 5 schools are Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, and Tennessee. So hopefully the Cards can find their way on that list after his visit.
It seems like it will probably be tough to get this kid out of the SEC. So we will see how this official visit goes on Wednesday. Here are his highlights from the 2013 season.
