According to WDRB.com, LMPD’s Dwight Mitchell confirmed that Louisville basketball player Mangok Mathiang was arrested Friday night for drinking alcohol in a public place and failure to disperse. From the post on WDRB’s website:
An arrest report states the incident happened at 7:30 p.m. on May 2 at 3rd St. and Central Ave. In the report, an officer writes that Mathiang was “walking down 3rd St. when his friend was arrested and was asked several times to leave and kept walking down street following the police.”
The report goes on to say Mathiang had a Bud Light in a can and dropped it on the ground.
Could you imagine if they arrested every single person that was drinking an alcoholic beverage in public this weekend? For the record, Mangok is 21 years old.
