Phil Steele has released his Preseason All-American teams for the 2014 College Football Season. As Steele writes, his preseason All-American teams are different than many other lists out there made by others because “I project how those players will fare in the upcoming season. Many times players that were not All-Americans last season can appear on this list and players that were first-team All-America last season can find themselves behind other great players this season.”

Louisville wide receiver DeVante Parker was named to his Second Team Offense. Last season, Parker had 55 receptions for 885 yards and 12 touchdowns. Not many would have been surprised at all if Parker decided to enter the NFL Draft this past season. He is pretty much an NFL wide receiver that just happens to be playing College Football in 2014, and we are very lucky to have him back.

In his career at UofL (36 games), Parker has 113 catches for 1,920 yards and 28 touchdowns. His 12 touchdowns last season are tied for first all-time with Ibn Green for receiving touchdowns in a single season at UofL. His 28 career receiving touchdowns have him 3rd all-time at UofL, trailing only Ibn Green (33) and Arnold Jackson (31).
