3-star WR names his Top 8; Louisville in the mix
On Monday evening, Tavin Richardson tweeted out his top 8 schools. Richardson is a 6’3 and 200 lb wide receiver from Duncan, South Carolina and is listed as a 3-star prospect on the four major recruiting sites. Here is the tweet.
Richardson talked with CSZ Monday night about his list and what he likes about Louisville. He visited the Cards June 3rd on an unofficial visit and came away impressed. “The facilities, the campus, the offense they run, and how I can come in and play early,” Richardson told CSZ. Of the schools in his top 8, he has been to Louisville, Kentucky, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. He plans to still make trips to Florida, UCF, and attend a football game at Nebraska. As of right now, he doesn’t know where he will take any of his official visits.
The wide receiver was able to meet with and speak to Bobby Petrino when he was here and he says “It went great. We talked about how they would use me and how he likes to throw the football.” Expanding on how they would use him in the offense, Richardson said the coaches told him “they will use me as a wide receiver in the slot. They said I can come in and play early.” He also got the feeling that the Cards will have an explosive offense.
When asked what the biggest factors will be in making his college decision, Richardson said “playing time and coaches.”
There is not a timetable on when his list will be cut down again. Of those 8 schools, there is not a favorite at the moment. He says that he will make his final decision after his football season ends.
