According to Adam Zagoria of zagsblog.com, small forward Derrick Jones (Radnor, Pennsylvania) will visit Louisville sometime in August. His AAU coach said that Jones will also visit Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, and Florida in the same month. This is not necessarily his top 5, as he visited UConn last week and says he enjoyed that trip.
Kenny Johnson is the main recruiter for the Cards with Jones. ESPN ranks him as a 5-star player and the 4th best small forward in the country. I wouldn’t say that Louisville is the favorite for Jones, but it is good to at least get him on campus for a visit. But as far as small forwards go, if the Cards only get 1 in the 2015 class, right now it looks like it would be Deng Adel. But we will keep an eye on Jones as that visit gets closer.
