Bobby Petrino got some good news tonight when 6’4 260 lb G.G. Robinson committed to Louisville. Robinson chose the Cards over offers from Virginia, Cincinnati, Iowa St., Kansas St., Miss. St., North Carolina, and many others. At the end of the day the Cards won a very close recruiting battle over future ACC rival Virginia. The Cavilers tried to sell Robinson on being their TE for the future but Louisville DC Todd Grantham used his Georgia roots to persuade Robinson otherwise. While most schools like Robinson on the offensive side of the ball, Petrino and company plan on using him as a Defensive End in Grantham’s 3-4 defensive scheme. Another great pickup for Bobby as the recruiting train continues to pick up steam! Follow G.G. Robinson on twitter @GGRobinson85
