Redshirt sophomore Joe Manley has decided to transfer from the University of Louisville. Manley, a 6’6 333 lb offensive lineman, will transfer to Western Kentucky. He is from Bowling Green, KY so he will be heading back home. He mainly played on special teams last season and saw a little time on the offensive line. There hasn’t been a reason announced why he is deciding to leave, but it could always be a number of different things when guys decide to transfer. It could be playing time, moving closer to home, not meshing well with the new coaches, or anything else.

With that news also comes some good news. Tobijah Hughley, another redshirt sophomore, has earned a scholarship after being a walk-on up to this point. He is in line to be the starting center for the Cards this season. He is a native of Lexington, KY and played at Lafayette High School. A little testament of how far Hughley has come in just a couple of years: he was committed to Georgetown College (Kentucky) in high school before deciding to walk-on at Louisville. Now look at him!

Here is Tobijah recently talking to Sean Moth on CardsTV.
