The big win on Monday night over Miami is already starting to pay off on the recruiting trail. Trey Smith, a 6’1 210 lb athlete, committed to the Cards. He is from Madison, Mississippi and is the son of former NFL wide receiver Jimmy Smith, who played for Bobby Petrino with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Smith also has offers from Mississippi State and Memphis. He is the 16th verbal commit for Louisville in the 2015 class. In his first high school game this season, Smith started at quarterback, but seemed to be more of the running QB. He rushed for 108 yards on 26 carries while throwing for 77 yards.
