Football Recruiting Visitors List 1-23-15

Bobby Petrino and his staff have certainly done their part so far when it comes to hosting big time recruits. Last weekend they hosted probably the most impressive group of visitors in quite some time for football, possibly ever for one weekend. This weekend is another important one with some solid names on the list. National Signing Day is just a couple of weeks away, so official visits at this point are very crucial.

*As always, the “four recruiting sites” are ESPN, 247 Sports, Rivals, and Scout.

Sheldrick Redwine (Louisville commit)

Cornerback

6’2   190 lbs   Miami, Florida

3-star player on all four sites. He is listed as a Louisville commit, but don’t take that too seriously. He recently said he is “60% committed” to the Cards, so that sounds good. He officially visited Auburn last weekend and will visit Texas next weekend. UofL threw the kitchen sink at him this past week when Bobby Petrino, Lamar Thomas, and Terrell Buckley all went for an in-home visit with Redwine. Don’t be surprised at all if he doesn’t end up at Louisville.

DeVante Peete

Wide Receiver

6’6   200 lbs   Pompano Beach, Florida

4-star player on ESPN, Rivals, and Scout. 3-star player on 247 Sports. The only schools listed as “warm” on his 247 page are Louisville and Florida State. However, he will also likely visit Auburn in the next week or so. He has offers from the biggest schools in the country, including Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, LSU, and more. Louisville appears to be in a good spot right now with Peete.

Emonee Spence

Wide Receiver

6’2   181 lbs   Pembroke Pines, Florida

4-star player on ESPN. 3-star player on 247 Sports, Rivals, and Scout. Decommitted from Miami back in December and now it looks like it’s down to Louisville, UCF, and West Virginia. He visited UCF last weekend, Louisville this weekend, and will be at West Virginia next weekend.

Javarius Davis

Athlete/Cornerback

5’10   173 lbs   Jacksonville, Florida

4-star player on Rivals and Scout. 3-star player on ESPN and 247 Sports. Decommitted from North Carolina back in September. He visited Auburn last weekend, and then head coach Gus Malzahn and Will Muschamp visited Davis during the week. The Tigers seem to be the front-runner right now.

Darrien McNair (Mississippi State Commit)

Outside Linebacker

6’2   219 lbs   Ocala, Florida

3-star player on all four sites. He visited Kentucky last weekend, Louisville this weekend, and will officially visit Mississippi State next weekend. For now, not much to see here. We will see if this weekend’s official visit changes anything for McNair.

Julian Good-Jones (Iowa State Commit)

Offensive Tackle

6’5   275 lbs   Cedar Rapids, Iowa

3-star player on all four sites. He visited Iowa State last weekend, where he is currently committed. Like McNair, not much to see here for right now until after the weekend when we know how this official visit goes. But interesting that he visited where he is committed last weekend and is still taking a visit somewhere else.

Keith Washington

Defensive Back

6’2   175 lbs   Prattville, Alabama

3-star player on all four sites. Decommitted from Duke back in September. He visited North Carolina in early December and then Indiana last weekend. He was also recently offered by TCU.
