Lamar Jackson chose the Cards over the Florida Gators, who made a late push to get him and pitched early playing time, which made this one close. He is a dynamic playmaker at the quarterback position. I must admit that there were plenty of times that I thought this time wouldn’t come where Jackson would sign with the Cards. It is definitely big that Bobby Petrino and the staff were able to hang on to this one.
Jackson committed to the Cards on August 30, 2014. In the last two weeks, he took official visits to Florida, Miami, and Mississippi State.
