One of the biggest talkers in recent memory of UofL football participated in the NFL Combine on Monday, and that is Charles Gaines. Gaines once said that he “runs with animals” and he certainly proved himself in the 40 yard dash. Here are his results from the tests he participated in. I will include how his numbers ranked among defensive backs and also post who came in first in each category.

Gaines – 4.44 seconds (3rd overall)

Gaines – 34.5 inches (19th overall)
Byron Jones (UConn) – 44.5 inches

Gaines – 123.0 inches (13th overall)

Gaines – 7.07 seconds (19th overall)
Justin Coleman (Tennessee) – 6.61 seconds
20 Yard Shuttle
Gaines – 4.20 seconds (15th overall)
Bobby McCain (Memphis) – 3.82 seconds
