ESPN’s Brett McMurphy is reporting that Louisville will face Purdue to open up the 2017 football season. The game will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 2, 2017.

The Cards and Boilermakers have only played once before, and that was on September 19, 1987 at Purdue’s Ross-Ade Stadium. The game ended in a 22-22 tie.

In 2014, Purdue was 3-9 and 1-7 in the Big Ten.
