Quentin Goodin is a 4-star combo guard in the class of 2016 that plays for Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Kentucky. On Tuesday, he released his top five schools: Louisville, Florida, Xavier, Miami, and Western Kentucky.
Standing around 6’3 and 180 lbs, Goodin is considered to be a top 100 player in the country in his class according to all four major recruiting sites. He has been on the radar for the Cards for quite some time now.
With him being a local kid and looking at the other schools on his list, one would think that Louisville is the team to beat here. I suppose I could understand someone choosing Miami, just for the simple reason to live in Miami. But if this ends up being a basketball decision for Goodin, I like the chances for the Cards. It should be noted that the Florida Gators are also very much in the mix for Goodin.
It would be pretty cool to have a team in 2016 with Quentin Snider, Raymond Spalding, and Quentin Goodin. Louisville has also already offered a scholarship to Goodin’s teammate, class of 2017 point guard David Sloan
