Jawon Pass committed to Louisville on Thursday, and that may have started a trend that will roll on through this weekend. On Friday, it was linebacker T.J. Brunson, a 3-star player from Columbia, South Carolina. Brunson is in town for Louisville’s Friday Night Lights football camp, along with plenty of other prospects that the Cards are looking at.
Brunson plays inside linebacker and is listed at 6’0 and 220 lbs. He also had offers from South Carolina and NC State, among other smaller schools in the area.
So yes, on two consecutive days, Louisville football has done the following: gotten a commitment from a 4-star quarterback from Columbus, Georgia over Auburn and Alabama…and gotten a commitment from a 3-star linebacker from Columbia, South Carolina over South Carolina. Keep in mind, the Gamecocks play in Columbia. That is impressive stuff by the staff for the Cards.
Scout.com lists Brunson as the #1 inside linebacker in South Carolina. Rivals has him as the 14th best player in the state. 247 Sports has him as the 18th best player in the state. This one is a big get for Bobby Petrino and the Cards. Tony Grantham was the lead recruiter for Brunson.
Scout has him as the #1 ILB in South Carolina.
Fixed. Thank ya.
You’re welcome.
