According to Scout.com, quarterback Tyler Ferguson will be transferring from the University of Louisville. Ferguson is the former Penn State QB that transferred to Louisville, sat out last season, and was eligible to play this season. At 6’4 and 225 lbs, and with a big arm, Ferguson has great size for the position.

To be honest, all last season when it looked like our quarterbacks were average at best, I kept saying it doesn’t really matter because “Tyler Ferguson will be our starting quarterback in 2015.” Whoops. And I definitely wasn’t the only one saying that. People in the media and even some of the players were saying the same thing. It just didn’t work out and Ferguson wasn’t even a serious contender in the QB race for this year.

This takes one quarterback out of the mix and now it is down to Will Gardner, Reggie Bonnafon, Kyle Bolin, and Lamar Jackson to fill the spot. It also means one less person for next season when all of those guys are back, plus Jawon Pass gets added in.

We wish Ferguson good luck wherever he ends up going.
