Louisville freshman Deng Adel has missed the last two games for the Cards, and according to Mike Rutherford of Card Chronicle (and then according to Pitino), he will miss two more weeks.
Louisville freshman forward Deng Adel, who has missed the Cardinals’ last two games after suffering a sprained MCL, is expected to return to the court in two weeks. This according to U of L head coach Rick Pitino.
The new timetable for Adel means he’ll miss Louisville’s showcase games against Saint Louis and Michigan State, but could be back as soon as the Dec. 12 game against Eastern Michigan.
This hurts Louisville on both sides of the floor, particularly on defense. However, it is better to return from injuries too late than too early. Adel will be very important to have back in ACC play more than non-conference games.
