Local media scoffed after the year when people called in and mentioned that Lamar Jackson’s name could show up in the Heisman race this year. My what can change in 3 months. After a Tecmo Bowl-esque Spring Game (24-29 for 519 yards & 8 TD), his stock has risen.
Here is a small except of expectations:
Jackson is already in elite company as one of only three quarterbacks to both throw for and rush for 200 yards in a bowl game. The other two flanking Louisville’s sophomore quarterback: 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel and Vince Young, the 2005 runner-up.
