This morning we all received an email regarding a surprise announcement regarding UofL Baseball. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that days after it came out that other teams may be interested in him for UofL to pull the trigger on a 10 year $1 million dollar per year contract extension. The contract making Coach McDonnell the highest paid Baseball coach in Louisville history. It also gives him the highest base salary in the country. He unofficially made $435,000 this year compared to a 1.135 million dollar salary made by UCLA HC John Savage who went 25-30-1, 45-16 & 25-31 the past 3 seasons. (95-77-1). This may be the best team we have ever had so it is only right that we pay the best coach we have ever had like the big boys do. Congrats Coach Mac!
