McKay is the highest MLB Draft pick is program history, surpassing Corey Ray, who was drafted 5th overall by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2016 MLB Draft.

In 61 games played, McKay is batting .343/.464/.657 with 17 home runs and 56 RBIs. On the mound, McKay is 10-3 in 16 starts, with a 2.34 ERA in 104 innings pitched. He also has 140 strikeouts, a school record for strikeouts in a single season, while only allowing 33 walks.
