Brendan McKay has won just about every baseball award he possibly could , including the Dick Howser trophy, ACC player of the year, John Olerud 2-way player of the year, Baseball America player of the year and he was the 4th pick in the MLB draft. Well, you can add Golden Spikes awards to his list. The Golden Spikes award is given annually to the best amateur baseball player in the United States based on their athletic ability, sportsmanship, character and overall contribution to the sport.
