Louisville, KY — Butler senior, Molly Lockhart, has committed to Jeff Walz and the Louisville Cardinals.
Lockhart says her desire to stay close to home for college was important, which made her commitment to Louisville easy.
Lockhart originally committed to St. Louis University in March, but a change of heart this summer influenced her decision to attend Louisville.
“It was really important to me,” Lockhart said. “I have a lot of people at home that like to watch me play like my grandparents, so being close to home was a lot more helpful.
Last season, Lockhart averaged 11.2 points and six boards for Butler. She also plays on the Nike Girls EYBL circuit with the Kentucky Premier, alongside another UofL commit, Mykasa Robinson.
With Myisha Hines-Allen entering her senior season, Lockhart will fill an important role in the post for the Cardinals.
