Louisville, KY — Asia Durr was one of 12 women named to the inaugural USA Basketball U-23 team.
The USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team Committee selected the 12 woman roster on Friday.
The team, led by Louisville head coach Jeff Walz, will continue training at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs through August 7th. The team will then fly to Toyoko to compete in the U-23 Four Nations Tournament.
Team USA will compete against teams from Australia, Canada and Japan. The tournament spans from August 12th through the 15th.
“We are very excited to get working,” USA U-23 head coach Jeff Walz said. “There is a lot of individual talent that now as a coaching staff we are going to have to put together and figure out different combinations of how we play to their strengths.”
This is Durr’s third time representing Team USA.
