Women’s Hoops Adds Veteran Coach Beth Burns

The University of Louisville has announced the addition of former Division I head coach Beth Burns. Burns will serve as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Women’s Basketball and Special Advisor to the Head Coach.
Burns has been a collegiate basketball coach for 30-years most recently as the associate head coach of the women’s basketball team at Southern California from 2014 to 2017.

“We are lucky to have such an experienced and skilled teacher to add to our staff,” said head coach Jeff Walz. “Beth will bring insight from thirty-plus years in the collegiate game and I look forward to working and learning from her this coming season”.

Burns boasts an impressive resume. With 21 years as a Division 1 head coach, six conference titles and two regional Coach of the Year Awards, Burns will bring experience to the staff. Her teams have made eight NCAA appearances, including a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2010.
