Last night, the Utah Jazz defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 114-108 and rookie Donovan Mitchell put on a show.
Mitchell dropped 41 points in the matchup. The Pelicans could not find an answer for Mitchell… Not even Boogie Cousins, who Donovan basically ate for dinner.
Mitchell became the first rookie since Blake Griffin to drop 40 points in a game. He also set the Jazz rookie record, previously held by none other than Dr. Dunkenstein himself, Darrell Griffith.
You have yourself a night, Donny Buckets!!
"I told you on draft night that Donovan is an awesome player. What a great night for Donovan and the Jazz. 41 and a win!"
