Louisville earned yet another victory in Madison Square Garden today by defeating Memphis 81-72.
Louisville jumped to an early lead and looked ready to pull away when they lead 28-19, but a Memphis run cued by Louisville mistakes tied the game at halftime 38-38. Louisville was clearly the better team, but Memphis wasn’t as bad as many pegged them to be. Louisville pulled away in the 2nd en route to a solid victory.
Louisville was led by Quentin Snider’s 19 points (6-8 FG) and 5 assists. VJ King scored 17 points (6-9 FG) with 4 assists. Deng Adel added 15 points of his own, all of which came from behind the 3-point line (5-8 3pt), and Ray Spalding had 12 points and 8 rebounds.
