It took the full 40 minutes and at times the outlook appeared bleak, but Louisville was able to defeat Albany by a final score of 70-68.
Louisville looked sluggish and disjointed for much of the game. In the end, they were the better team and did just enough to get by with a win. Louisville fought back from being down 3 points with just over 2 minutes left. It came down to the last shot with Albany missing a potential game-winning 3-pointer.
Louisville was led by Quentin Snider’s 19 points. Q appeared to injure his hip at the end of the game so hopefully there’s nothing serious there. Ryan McMahon scored 15 points on 5 three-pointers. Deng Adel added 13 points of his own, and while he didn’t score, Dwayne Sutton played a large role in the victory with a team-high 9 rebounds and stellar defense.
