UofL signed a high level ATH in Tutu Atwell out of Teddy Bridgewater’s old high school Miami Northwestern. He played QB there and just led them to their first state title in a decade.

Though he played QB at Miami Northwestern, it’s likely the 5’8 155 lbs Atwell will play WR here. He’s quite the weapon too.

Atwell has speed, jukes, jives, and toughness. Since he played QB in high school, it’s unknown how well he catches the ball. However, he is an exciting runner. He cuts on a dime, he shimmys, he spins, he runs through tackles too. He’s a guy that should do well working in space and getting yards after the catch.

As he was a QB, it opens a plethora of possible trick plays for UofL. He is a good passer and will give defenses something more to think about when facing UofL.

Even though he is small, I think there could be scenarios where he lines up in the backfield as a RB. He would work well as a compliment in the QB read option run game.

Tutu Atwell is one of my favorite players in this class. His athleticism, quickness, and speed can make him a unique weapon for Bobby Petrino. Plus, he knows how to win and what it feels like to win. Welcome Mr. Atwell.
