Louisville vs Virginia Tech: Pregame Breakdown

CSZ BBALL

Coming off their first marquee victory at FSU, Louisville will look to add another one to the win column today against Virginia Tech at 4pm at the Yum! Center on ESPN2.

Virginia Tech comes into this game boasting a high scoring/efficient offense. The Hokies average 85.8 points per game while shooting 52.2% from the field as a team. They also average 17.8 assists per game. Needless to say, they win games with their offense.

Louisville is a program historically known for winning by defense. Louisville doesn’t want to get in a shootout with anyone so the focus has to be on limiting the Hokies’ offensively instead of trying to keep up. Virginia and Syracuse held VTech to 52 and 56 points, respectively, which led to double-digit victories. I believe Louisville will have the same impact today.

Louisville 71 – Virginia Tech 58.
