LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The Louisville baseball team will open its final weekend of preseason work with a Red-White scrimmage Friday at2 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. Gates will open at1 p.m., ET for batting practice and admission is free for the scrimmage.
The weekend scrimmage schedule for the Cardinals will continueon Saturdayatnoon ETbefore they conclude their preseason workon Sundayat noon. Batting practice is slated to begin at approximately10:45 a.m., ET bothSaturdayandSunday.
No. 13 Louisville opens the 2018 season on Friday, Feb. 16 at noon ET against Richmond in the first of three games at the Charleston Crab House Challenge in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cardinals will also play The Citadel on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m., and George Mason on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. The 2018 home-opener at Jim Patterson Stadium is set forWednesday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m., ET against Eastern Kentucky.
