Louisville to Host Red-White Baseball Scrimmage Friday Afternoon
First pitch set for 2 p.m., ET on Friday; Cardinals will also scrimmage Saturday at noon and Sunday at noon
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville baseball team will open its final weekend of preseason work with a Red-White scrimmage Friday at 2 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. Gates will open at 1 p.m., ET for batting practice and admission is free for the scrimmage.
The weekend scrimmage schedule for the Cardinals will continue on Saturday at noon ET before they conclude their preseason work on Sunday at noon. Batting practice is slated to begin at approximately 10:45 a.m., ET both Saturday and Sunday.
No. 13 Louisville opens the 2018 season on Friday, Feb. 16 at noon ET against Richmond in the first of three games at the Charleston Crab House Challenge in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cardinals will also play The Citadel on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m., and George Mason on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. The 2018 home-opener at Jim Patterson Stadium is set for Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m., ET against Eastern Kentucky.
