The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were no match for the hosting Louisville Cardinals tonight. At the first media timeout, Louisville led 8-7 and that was as close as it would get the rest of the way. Louisville cruised to a 77-54 victory despite Deng Adel’s absence to injury.
Louisville was led by Jordan Nwora’s 16 points. Anas Mahmoud chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Ray Spalding had a normal night by his standards this season with 11 points and Malik Williams scored 11 points and showcased his range.
Louisville desperately needed this victory. To win any ACC game (except Pittsburgh) by 23 points is solid, but to do so without a player like Deng Adel is even more impressive. The Cards looks motivated defensively and that set the tone the whole way.
