SCHEDULE CHANGE: Louisville Baseball Home-Opener with EKU Moved toTuesdayat4 p.m.

Expected inclement weather forces schedule change for Cardinals and Colonels

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Due to expected inclement weather, the 13th-ranked Louisville baseball teams 2018 home-opener against Eastern Kentucky will be played one day earlier than originally scheduled as the Cardinals and Colonels will meetTuesdayat4 p.m., ET at Jim Patterson Stadium.

The opening game on Louisvilles 35-game home schedule was previously set forWednesdayat3 p.m., but with rain expected for much of the day, officials from both Louisville and EKU agreed to adjust the date of the game.Tuesdaysweather forecast in Louisville calls for a high temperature near 77 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

Tuesdaysgame against the Colonels will begin a 14-game homestand for the Cardinals, who will host Youngstown State for a three-game weekend series startingFridayat3 p.m.Louisville opened the 2018 season by winning all three of its games at the Charleston Crab House Challenge last weekend in Charleston, South Carolina.
