Coach Walz Receives Revised Contract
All Hail, Vince Tyra.
In his first year – actually first few months – the Louisville Athletic Director has secured a five star head Basketball Coach in Chris Mack, revised the contracts of both Ken Lolla and Dan McDonnell. Now, Tyra has ensured Louisville’s Jeff Walz will remain with the Cardinals.
The University of Louisville’s Athletic Association personnel committee approved a contract extension for Louisville Basketball head Coach Jeff Walz.
Walz told the Courier Journal that his restructured contract runs through 2025 with a pay bump of about $50,000.
Coach Walz credited the Louisville fan base for his decision to stay with the Cardinals.
“We’re blessed to have fans that understand the game,” Walz said. “You go some places and there’s nobody there, and you come to our ballgames and they’re passionate, they get loud. Our fan base is our No. 1 reason.”
Get ready for much more winning, y’all. We’re in for GREAT memories.
