Lewis became beloved by UofL fans after his single season here as a graduate transfer. He was known for his smile and positive attitude along with fellow graduate transfer and teammate Damion Lee.
Despite having the opportunity to play in the NCAA Tournament taken from him by a scandal he had nothing to do with, Lewis showed unbelievable class in dealing with a dream lost.
Now, Lewis gets to live out a bigger dream as he gets an opportunity to be a NBA player. He will join former beloved Card Donovan Mitchell on the Jazz.

He put together a very good summer league resume playing for the Jazz in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. He averaged 9 ppg, 3 rpg, and 2.3 apg in 4 games according to realgm.com.
It is wonderful to see such an awesome guy as Trey Lewis get to live out a dream. He’s such a deserving young man. Congrats Trey from CSZ. Go show them what you got.
UPDATE:
Andy Larsen, of the Salt Lake Tribune, is reporting Lewis signed a training camp deal and that he will likely end up with Utah’s G League affiliate.
