Louisville vs Wake Forest: Postgame Recap

Louisville and Wake Forest entered today’s contest with both teams searching for their first ACC win. The visiting Demon Deacons exited Cardinal Stadium today with a 56-35 victory over the home Cardinals.

Puma Pass finished the game 30/54 for 358 yards and 1 touchdown. However, my biggest takeaway from Puma today was the horrific inaccuracy on passes thrown towards the sidelines. Trey Smith scored 3 of the Cardinals’ touchdowns on the ground on 13 carries for 98 yards. TuTu Atwell and Jaylen Smith each caught 8 passes for 100+ yards, but Seth Dawkins was the one to reel in Puma’s touchdown pass.

The a season of woes continued for Louisville today. Sadly, this appeared to be the last winnable game on the schedule for the Cards and losing by 21 at home wasn’t inspiring for the remaining games on the schedule.

Up next: Louisville plays at Clemson next Saturday.

Go Cards!
