The No. 5 Louisville Cardinals absolutely demolished the Tennessee State Lady Tigers, 107 – 52, behind a huge third quarter.
Louisville recorded 37 points in the third frame, holding Tennessee State to 13 points. The Cardinals forced nine turnovers in the effort. Dana Evans led Louisville with nine points.
When it came to scoring, it was truly a team effort. Each active player on the roster recorded at least one point. Despite only scoring eight points, Louisville junior Kylee Shook recorded a program record eight blocks, along with 14 rebounds. Dana Evans scored a career-high 17 points, while Jazmine Jones and Bianca Dunham each grabbed 14 points. For the sixth time this season, the Cardinals were led by Asia Durr. The senior guard tallied 19 points, four rebounds and three assists.
The Cardinals had a tremendous defensive outing, converting 29 turnovers into 49 points, while collecting 19 steals.
For the second consecutive season, Louisville has sprinted out to an 8-0 record.
