The Louisville Cardinals (8-3) take on the Robert Morris Colonials (4-7) tonight at the KFC Yum! Center.
Robert Morris enters tonight on a four game losing streak and has only beaten three Division 1 teams all season. Josh Williams leads the Colonials with 17.4 points per game. He’s the only real individual threat on the team. You may remember the name from earlier this season, when he tied a Division 1 record by hitting 15 threes in a game against D-III Mount Aloysius in November. He’s shooting 47.1 percent from outside the arc, but has only scored 20 or more points in two other games this season. I’d expect him to be chucking threes from the start tonight.
For Louisville, it comes into tonight 7-0 at home, including two straight wins to open up a five game home stand. Jordan Nwora continues to lead the Cards in both scoring and rebounding (17.7, 8.1) in only 28.7 minutes per game. He remains Louisville’s only double-digit scorer, but the team has seven other players averaging between 6 and 10 points.
This is easily the worst team Louisville has left on its regular season schedule. Expect nothing short of a dominating performance from the Cards tonight.
