The Men’s Basketball team returned to The Yum! Center on Friday night after several days off. The Cards took on a scrappy Robert Morris team, who actually went into halftime with a three point lead. Louisville turned up the defense in the second half and ended up pulling away for a 73-59 victory.
Louisville was led by Jordan Nwora with his 19 points and 13 rebounds. Steven Enoch pitched in 16 points and Dwayne Sutton finished with 14. The Cards won the rebounding battle and were 22 of 27 from the free throw line. Robert Morris shot 48% in the first half, which contributed to their halftime lead. However, Louisville was able to hold them to 28% shooting in the second half, while the Cards shot 54% themselves after halftime.
The Cards have a week off to enjoy the holidays and prepare for Kentucky. The Wildcats visit The Yum! Center on Saturday.
