The Louisville Cardinals used a second half push to defeat the Robert Morris Colonials 73-59 Friday night at the KFC Yum! Center.
Louisville trailed 32-29 at halftime before going on a 20-2 run in the second half to take control of the game. Jordan Nwora led the Cards again with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Steven Enoch followed with 16 points; Dwayne Sutton added 14 points and 7 boards. Charles Bain led Robert Morris with 18 points.
Louisville got the win, but you’d like to see a more convincing performance at this point in the season. The team turned the ball over 16 times against a low major opponent which is not great. It was the type of game we’ve seen before though. The Cards struggled to score initially, but got to the free throw line and used a big run to separate themselves late. They’ll have no problem getting up for the next game, so no need to panic.
Up next: Louisville hosts Kentucky Saturday December 29th in the Battle of the Bluegrass.
