McCoy comes to Louisville after playing in only 4 games last season and will have one year of eligibility left.
He committed to the Cards after taking a visit this weekend. TJ was a part of the 2015 class as a 3 star prospect and was recruited by NC State, USF, Navy, Rutgers, & others. He decided to enroll at NC State in 2015.
However, he then decided to transfer to the University of Florida to be closer to home. There he redshirted in 2015 before starting the last 4 games of the 2016 season. He started the first 9 games of 2017 before loosing his starting job to a season ending injury.
McCoy will bring a lot of experience to the offensive line for Scott Satterfield and UofL. He will likely compete for the starting Center spot. Satterfield continues to correct the depth issues that plague the UofL offensive line with quality players like TJ McCoy.
