Louisville Sophomore Reid Detmers had a career day at the mound last Friday against Brown, and it ended up resulting in him earning some hardware on Monday.
Detmers was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after a stellar performance on Friday. The sophomore threw a career-high seven innings with 11 strikeouts, only allowing one walk in the process. Detmers’ performance was a key one for Louisville that day, as he (along with reliever Jack Perkins) only allowed one hit in their 7-0 win over Brown.
Through two starts, Detmers is holding batters to a .103 average against him, with a .75 ERA, and .67 WHIP.
Louisville hosts Xavier at Jim Patterson Stadium tomorrow at 3:00 EDT, their fifth game in their 14-game homestand.
