
Game 1: Louisville Cards vs Kansas Jayhawks:
The Cards took on the Kansas Jayhawks in their first game of the Tennessee Classic. They had an early jump on the Jayhawks’ Pruett with three runs in the first inning. The Louisville batters were halted up until the fifth inning. Sophomore Maddy Newman started the offense once again. The Cards were able to score two more runs and take the game to 5-3 score over the Jayhawks. Danielle Watson pitched seven innings only giving up three runs and striking out eight batters.

Game 2: Cards vs Bradley:
Senior Megan Hensley helped lead the Cardinals on the offensive charge. After a scoreless first inning, Sophomore Kyra Snyder helped get the Cards on the board in the bottom of the second with a two-run home run. Bradley answered back with a two-run in the top of the third. In the bottom of the fifth is when Junior Celene Funke connected on a three home-run. This home-run was her second of the season. Megan Hensley started the game but redshirt freshman Taylor Roby finished out the win with striking out six of the four innings.
