VJ King came into his junior year as a returning starter and with big expectations. With the rise of Jordan Nwora and Dwayne Sutton, King saw his minutes lessen. VJ had some difficulties scoring this year, but we never saw him complain. He is the ideal teammate, who cares more about the team’s success than his own. Going into his senior year he will again be expected to be a leader on a team with 6 incoming freshmen if he returns. He had less minutes this year than he did when he was a freshman, so hopefully he will take advantage of his opportunities next year and become a big factor in the team’s success.
