Press release from the University of Louisville:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After capturing the top seed in the ACC Baseball Championship on Saturday, the schedule is set for the seventh-ranked Louisville baseball team this week at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.
The top-seeded Cardinals will take on 12th-seeded Boston College on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., ET and eighth-seeded Clemson Thursday at 11:00 a.m., ET. Pool play runs Tuesday through Friday with the semifinals and championship set for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Louisville is the top seed in the tournament for the third time in five years since joining the league in 2015. The Cardinals are searching for their first ACC Tournament title after reaching the championship game last season.
Head coach Dan McDonnell led the Cardinals to a 43-13 record during the regular season, marking the 12th time UofL has crossed the 40-win mark in 13 years under McDonnell’s guidance. Only three teams finished the regular season with more wins than the Cardinals, and only one power five program tallied more than Louisville’s 21 wins in conference play.
Regional Sports Networks from across the conference footprint and across the nation will carry all 14 games on Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday’s noon championship game will be televised nationally by ESPN2. All games will also be available on the ACC Network Extra.
