We are headed into week 2 of the football season and the opponent isn’t a top 10 team. Optimism reigns supreme from the Cards fan base as well as our staff.
Here are our predictions for Louisville vs EKU…
Shawn Barbour – UofL 42 – EKU 7. I think EKU picks up a TD somewhere. Louisville runs the ball, runs it some more, and then, you guessed it, runs it some more. I think they’ll eat up clock and that will prevent the score from getting to 50. Although, breaking 50 wouldn’t shock me.
55 – UofL 48 – EKU 10. Hall, Hawkins and Cunningham all rush for 80 or more. We rush for 350 total yards and the defense dominates this day. Gives them a ton of confidence for next week.
Nunn – UofL 38 – EKU 17. The line opened at 26, now it’s down to 20.5. I don’t like it but I understand since EKU hung 53 on Valpo in week 1. I think we see 4 different running backs and 2 of them run for over 100 yards. Dez gets his first TD of the season.
Katie Goben – UofL 45 – EKU 14. Puma looks more relaxed and throws are more accurate. Defense continues to work on effort and will gain more respect around the country.
Higgy – UofL 52 – EKU 7. Hawkins rushes for 150. Rodjay Burns has a punt return for a touchdown. Also we get a defensive score. Puma gets more confidence in his receivers.
Daniel Spencer – UofL 42 – EKU 10. This game is for sure a bounce back game for the Cards and we get to see true offense open up.
Justin Krueger – UofL 41 – EKU 19
Samual Basden – UofL 41 – EKU 17
Mitch Motley – UofL 38 – EKU 6
Ben Gumbel – UofL 37 – EKU 13
Paige Sherrard – I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.
