Georgia Tech transfers, Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon have been ruled eligible for the 2019-20 basketball season.
The sophomore duo comes to Louisville with great accolades. Balogun was named ACC Freshman of the Year while Dixon was named to the All-ACC Freshman team.
“We are excited that both Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon will be eligible to play this season,” said head coach Jeff Walz. “They are incredible young women, both on and off the court, and they already have a year of experience in the ACC, which is a huge plus. Adding them really helps us with our depth.”
Last season, Balogun averaged 14.6 points, leading the Yellow Jackets and ACC Freshman, and ranked eighth in the country among freshman. She had six 20-plus point games, two 30-plus point games and scored in double figures 24 times.
Dixon started all 30 games for Georgia Tech last season. She ranked first among ACC Freshman in rebounding, pulling down 6.4 per game. Dixon was the Yellow Jackets third leading scorer, picking up 11 points per game. She scored in double-digits 19 times and recorded three 20-plus scoring games.
