Uniform Report: Louisville Vs Clemson

Louisville Football nearly went all red everything, but not quite for the noon matchup with Clemson. Instead, the Cards will be rocking the new red helmet, the red jersey, and the red pants when they run out on to the field at Cardinal Stadium.

This will be the first game this season the Cards will wear the red helmet and red jersey combo. They wore the red jerseys for the first time against EKU while they debuted the new red helmets against WKU and also wore them against Florida State.

Of course, the red helmet is not chrome, but is not completely matte. The facemask is red and the Cardinal head is enlarged like on the black helmet. However, it is red outlined in white.

The jersey is red with white letters and numbers. The wings on the sleeves are red outlined in black and accented in white. There is an Adidas logo patch, a college football 150 patch, and a football with the ACC logo patch. The first patch is on the upper left side of the jersey while the other two are on the right side.

The pants are plain white with an old English L on the outside upper thigh portion of the pant leg.

The cleats are white, accented in red. On one side near the end of the cleat are three red stripes. On the other side nearer the middle of the cleat is a three stripe Adidas logo colored red.

All accessories are white. Socks are white with a black Adidas logo. Arm sleeves are white with a black Adidas logo as well. Arm sweat bands are white with a red Adidas logo. Finally, the gloves are white with a black Adidas logo on the back.

When Louisville takes the field Saturday they will look sharp. Hopefully, they will look as sharp in execution of the game plan as they do in their wardrobe.
