Louisville Men’s Basketball has a season filled with high expectations after bringing in a top 10 recruiting class and the returns of junior F Jordan Nwora and redshirt senior C Steven Enoch. Coach Chris Mack has a Final Four contender with Team 106. AP Poll voters agree with those expectations as they ranked the Cards in the Top 5 of the Preseason AP Poll.

The Cards check in at number 5 behind Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Michigan State. Michigan State was the choice for the number 1 slot with Kentucky close behind. The top two were followed by Kansas and then Duke. Rounding out the top ten are Florida, Maryland, Gonzaga, North Carolina, and Villanova.
Louisville will play 5 teams during the regular season that are ranked in the Preseason AP Top 25; those teams being 2nd ranked Kentucky, 4th ranked Duke, 9th ranked North Carolina, 11th ranked Virginia, and 13th ranked Texas Tech.
