Louisville sophomore guard, Elizabeth Balogun, has been named to the Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List, the Atlanta Tip-off Club announced on Wednesday.
Balogun, a transfer from Georgia Tech, was named ACC Freshman of the Year a season ago. In her debut at Louisville, she knocked down 5 3-pointers on 5-of-6 shooting.
During her freshman season at Georgia Tech, she led the team in scoring, averaging 14.6 points. Balogun produced six 20+ point games, two 30+ games and scored in double-figures on 24 occasions.
Balogun is one of 50 players named to the Women’s Citizen Naismith Trophy Watch List. The mid season 30 team will be announced in early February, and the list will be narrowed down to 10 national semi finalists on March 10th, 2020. The winner of the 2020 Citizen Naismith Trophy for Women’s Player of the Year will be announced on April 4th, 2020.
