The first week of the college basketball season has come and gone. Our Louisville Cardinals are now 2-0 and, uniquely, 1-0 in the ACC. The Cards opened the season on Tuesday with a 13 point win on the road over ACC foe Miami. The game wasn’t really that close as UofL maintained a 20-30 point lead for much of the game. On Sunday, the Cards went 2-0 with a 23-point blowout of Youngstown State. The final score was 78-55.
These two victories were enough to move the Cards up in the AP Top 25 Poll. UofL moves up 1 spot from 5th to 4th, having leapfrogged Kansas who was ranked 3rd in the initial poll.
