Darius Perry Is In The Transfer Portal

Darius Perry will not be spending his final year at Louisville. The 6’2 G has entered the transfer portal and will look to find a new home where he can likely see increased minutes and possibly start.

Perry was known as a dogged defender in his 3 years in the red and black. He was arguably the best on-ball defender on the team. Streaky offensively, there were times he could light it up from three and get to the basket at will. Maybe Perry’s greatest attribute besides his defense was the kind of teammate he was. No matter if he started or was coming off the bench, Perry always was a joy to watch as he encouraged his teammates and celebrated their triumphs as if they were his own.

Perry will be a loss because he would’ve provided senior leadership and a defensive specialist. It’s not easy to replace a player that spent 3 years as an integral part of the Cardinal  Basketball family. Regardless, we here at CSZ and I’m sure all of you in the Cardinal family are wishing Darius Perry the best as he moves on to his next chapter.
